Poodle Town Book Cover

This story will make you laugh and have a fun reading experience with your child and for your child, all while teaching the underlying themes of the importance of love and acceptance, and openness to learning new things and ways of thinking about the world. It is a whimsical funny story for children exploring the outcomes of open minds leading to love and happiness. Closed minds leading to discrimination and sadness.

Mr. Pooh Pooh is lonely, so he decides to get a puppy. Ms. Phooey is also lonely…and she has the very same plan! Convinced they’ll only be able to fall in love with a perfect puppy, they head to Poodle Town to pick out the very best dog. One is convinced a tiny dog is the very best, while the other is sure a big dog is the only way to go. They each make their choice while quietly judging the other.

The two sad judgemental people head home with no idea that their delightful dogs have been accidentally swapped! As they begin to bond with their new puppies, Mr. Pooh Pooh and Ms. Phooey learn just what perfect really means.

This hilarious and heart-warming story reminds readers of the importance of love and empathy. It teaches children that accepting and loving leads to a positive life, and that nothing is more important than kindness.
